June 2008 E Newsletter
Welcome
to our new neighbors on Lots 11, 59, 62, 80 and 84. Please welcome them to MVE when you
see them out.

With summer now in
progress we urge you to slow down more than ever. Kids are out of school now and will be
outdoors playing. They sometimes don't watch for cars like they should. Please observe the
10 mph speed limit at MVE.
MVE
now offers an online E Newsletter that we try to put out once a month. If you don't have a
computer or have access to one, you can stop by the office for a written copy. Within our
newsletter we have many tips that might save you some money such as: One resident saved
$700 a year in insurance on home and auto. Another resident saved $200 on cars alone per
year. Stop by the office for more information.

The MVE Community Yard Sale will be July 12th from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
MVE will advertise this sale in as many newspapers as we can afford. Your cost for this is
$5.00 per each family that is selling that day. Everyone pays for the advertising. With
this we can hopefully get hundreds of folks out here to buy your items. You are welcome to
invite others to sell with you. That would be $5.00 for them also.

As you may have noticed, we
are working harder than ever to get your community looking great. We've painted the
entrance sign, some light poles, along with Mr. Parr we have trimmed every tree for low
branches and those touching your house. We are still doing street repair and sealing the
roads. MVE strives for no trash and litter. So we are constantly picking up any trash and
debris laying in and around homes.
More residents are adding
flowers and bushes than ever before. Some are doing renovations and remodeling....and even
more are taking better care of their homes and it shows. The Wooten's on #5, Brown's on
#11, Byrd's on #26, Parrs on #44, Mr. Short on #52, Mr. Lacy on #68 and the Austin's on#81
are just a few who are working on their homes and grounds. Thanks to all....it really
shows.
John Chapman and Paul are
spending the summer working on their yards, and many are pressure washing making for great
improvements. Renita, Toney and Gail have started their own garden and it's really done
well with the rain. The community garden behind the office is growing great zucchini's
already. Remember...everyone is welcome to plant here behind the office. I am sure we have
left out someone here....but we will include you in the next newsletter if that is the
case.
As the July 12th
yard sale approaches, we hope that many people will be entering MVE for the first time and
will want to live here in the future. The more residents we have living here, the less we
are pressured to raise rents on residents that already live here....so please help on
the following: Painting, fixing lattice and skirting that needs repaired, throwing away
items in your yard and and deck that has accumulated. If a utility building or shed needs
painting, now is a great time. We can help pressure wash your concrete pads and walkways.
We have people in the park who can help you if you are unable to do these odds and ends.
Let us know if you need help soon. Please don't wait until July 11th to tell us.

Another reminder about
animals at MVE. Only inside animals are allowed. Thank you for walking your dogs on
leashes and cleaning up after them. Any other animals are prohibited from roaming freely.
Of course dogs are not to be tied up or left outside at anytime. Cats should be inside
only.

Some residents have asked us
to remind everyone to please consider the loud mufflers some have on their cars and
trucks. When you have to replace them, please do so with quiet mufflers. Thank you.

If anyone
knows of any full and/or part time jobs available, please let us know at the office. We
can pass it along to those who might be looking for work.

We will start the community
campfires again this fall when the weather cools off.

We also now have a
resident's son who is able to install security systems and motion lights on your home at a
reduced rate. Let us know if you are interested and we will pass the information along and
get you hooked up. We would love for every home to have at least one motion spot light on
the exterior facing your car or decks. By the way, always remember to lock your car at
night.....just a good habit.
So by now I guess you heard
about the bear that was sited around Ridgeland High School just down the street on Hwy 2?
This made the news a couple of times. Pretty neat huh? Not to worry, as we have heard
bears do not like or come around manufactured homes, so we are safe. HA HA!
REMEMBER THE COMMUNITY
YARD SALE!!
