Are you ready to Downsize?

Many of us are now looking at our options for housing in the future. If not for us, maybe for our aging parents who do not need steps to climb or yards to mow or gutters to clean out. Maybe it's time to consider homes with no steps, large open rooms with lots of lighting, and less maintenance to do. Most of us have older homes that were not built with adequate insulation to help combat the rising cost of heating and cooling our homes. 

What if you could live in a well insulated, modern home that does not share a wall, ceiling, or floor with others, could still plant flowers and some vegetables, buy not have to worry about owning and maintaining yard equipment anymore? 

Are you ready to move into a house that fits your needs of today? All the kids are gone and moved out. Do you really need that big of a house anymore? 

Is the neighborhood the same as when your kids were growing up? Or has most everyone moved off, leaving you with a not so secure feeling of who your neighbors are and do they share the same values as you? Is your property value rising as fast as it once did? Are the homes around you quickly becoming rentals?

Would you take just a few minutes and write down all the costs involved in maintenance, taxes, heating and cooling, mowing, etc. for your current house and the costs for the next 5 years you know you’re going to have to do?
