Our first community campfire was a huge success. The weather turned out to be great considering it looked rainy for most of the day. A lot of neighbors introduced themselves for the first time. Several people brought their gloves and ball to throw around. While others roasted hot dogs. Some of the pictures we took will be posted on the mtnviewestates.com web site soon.

Would you be interested in doing this again? Maybe food or potluck the next time? Music or games? It is your community and we want to hear from you. Let us know what you want to do and let's do it. Someone even suggested using the fire area to let dads, moms and kids camp by the fire also. Whatever you are interested in please let us know.

We will be doing repairs on the MVE park interior roads in the near future. There will be some patience and caution needed from you when this starts. More information will be heading your way closer to the time we will start.

A thank you is in order for Mr. Parr on Lot 44. He has offered to help trim the lower limbs of the Bradford Pear trees in the park. He also will help us keep the island at the entrance mowed and trimmed more often. At 86 he is our oldest community volunteer. Be sure to say thanks to him next time you see him....for helping to keep our community looking nice!

We ask that everyone please be aware of the 10 mph speed limit in the park. Also, please stop at all stop signs. The kids will be home from school for the summer soon and we want all of our residents to stay safe.

As an added bonus to living here at Mountain View Estates we are now offering the following service: I'll make a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot once a month for residents to haul your mulch, lumber, flowers, lattice or whatever you can't haul in your own car. You can make the arrangements with me ahead of time. This will save you a delivery fee and I will deliver for you. See us at the office.

For the kids.....summer is coming and vacation will be here for your family. Most kids like to have some spending money so let's give them a hand and help. In May, I will offer to your kids a chance to host a Saturday car wash at the office. I'll furnish the suds, buckets, water and hose. This is for the park children that are interested in a community car wash. After it is over, the children can split up the money after it is over. Parents are welcome to come and help them also. I'll print the flyers for them to hand out....if there is an interest in doing this.

Are your closets full and your shed has gotten to where you can't get in anymore? How about a community yard sale? For those of you who were not around in the early years of Mountain View Estates, we used to have one and it was huge! It even got to the point that cars were parking on Wilson Road because they could not get into the park. Everyone brings their items out on their parking spaces and the shoppers come to you. If you would like, we could have a campfire and singing for everyone afterwards. Is there anyone that would like to be in charge of this and get it going? Please let us know if you are interested in having a yard sale this spring.

As always... we welcome your suggestions!
